Complete the following steps to setup user permissions within the Salesforce Integration. Read More on: Permission Sets & Advanced Security Permissions.
Preconditions:
Ensure the latest Salesforce package has been installed from the AppExchange prior to proceeding.
Access the latest Salesforce Package link.
Steps:
- In Salesforce, navigate to Set up > Administration > Users > Users.
- Click on the User(s) of the Ordway package to assign the Ordway package permission sets.
- Permission Set Assignments > Edit Assignments.

Select from the three options.
Note: All Salesforce users must have either User or Admin access.
- Ordway CPQ - User - access to all features in the Ordway application except the Ordway Settings page. An Ordway User in SFDC is defined as any user that closes Opportunities that automatically create Ordway Contracts, creates/edits Ordway Contracts through manual buttons, sends/edits Quotes, uses the Ordway Plan Picker or edits/utilizes Ordway Settings.
- Ordway CPQ - Admin -allows access to all features in the Ordway application including the Ordway Settings page, which consists of the Ordway Connection, Settings, Object Field Mappings, and Bulk Sync Jobs sections.
- Ordway CPQ - Multi-Entity - a permission set only for configuring multi-entity settings. This permission is not applicable for any instance that is not using the multi-entity feature in Ordway.
- Assign the appropriate permissions set to each user for access to the Ordway CPQ application and click Save.
