Logs allow the user to check the status of certain jobs that are happening in the background of Ordway, as well as the history of actions taken.
Note: Logs all display in UTC Time Zone.
Logs show the status for their respective history or the background jobs that may be running. There are five types of logs:
- Includes the status, the request URL, request method, user that completed the action, date, and processing time. API Logs are maintained for 90 days.
- Includes the status, Webhook, event, user, IP address, and date. Webhook Logs are maintained for 90 days.
- Includes the status, method, request URL, related objects, and date. Avalara Logs are maintained for 90 days.
- Includes the date the user signed in, which user, the event (action that they performed), and source. Audit Logs are maintained for the lifetime of the transaction.
Background Job Logs
- Includes date, type of background job, message, status, and progress. This shows pending jobs to be completed, successfully completed jobs, and failed jobs. Successfully completed jobs that were completed with errors (such as a Subscription import) will have an error file available. Background Job Logs are maintained for 90 days.
- Backgrounds Jobs include a tab for both Pending Jobs and Completed Jobs.

View Logs
Preconditions:
Users must have background jobs running to view the status in Background Logs.
Steps:
- Navigate to Menu > Operations > Logs.
- Select the desired logs to view.

3. Within any log, click either the Status or the View option from the Actions menu for the desired log to view additional details.
