We are thrilled to announce Braintree Gateway has been added as a new Payment Gateway. 

Get Started

1. Sign up For a Braintree Sandbox Account here.
2.  If you already have an account, login here.
3. Once logged in, navigate to the API setup page. 

Note: If your Braintree account is not enabled for ACH Bank Accounts, reach out to the Braintree team to have it enabled. 

Changes to Ordway Payments Gateway page

1. Once connected to Braintree, navigate to the Payments Gateway Page, ensure the payment method you want to enable is displayed.

Currently, Ordway supports Credit Card and ACH (Bank Account) payment methods. 

Paypal, Venmo, Paypal-Paylater, coming soon!

4. Once Payment methods are chosen, by default all customers show the chosen payment method(s). Test Credit Cards can be obtained here. 

Changes to Ordway Customer Details page

1. Create a customer > Choose Braintree Gateway > Save.

2. Add a Credit Card Payment method. 

Braintree requires the following fields: 

• Credit Card Number 
• Expiration Date
• CVV
• Card Holder’s name 
• Postal Code/ZipCode
• Country 
• Address Fields (optional)

3. Add ACH Bank Account Payment method. Details can be obtained here.

Braintree requires the following mandatory fields for ACH Bank Account Payment

Method:

• Verification Method  (Details Below)
• Routing Number
• Account Number
• Account Holder Name
• Account Type - Checking, Savings
• Ownership Type - Personal, Business
• Street Address
• City 
• State
• Postal Code/Zip Code
• Account Holder’s Email for Verification

3a. Verification of Bank Account 

Braintree allows the verification of Bank Account by 2 ways: 

• Micro-deposits
• Network Check (Instant Verification)

Verify By Micro-deposits

Braintree deposits two small, separate amounts into the customer's bank account, and the customer confirms the amounts received to verify the account.

Note: If your customer has not received an email for verification, you may re-send the verification email using the resend verification email link.

Verify by Network Check

Network check is an instant verification method. Verifies the bank account details using the bank account number and routing number.

For Testing purposes use: 

Account Number: 1000000000 

Routing Number: 011000015

Note: ACH Bank Payment method supports only USD.

Similar changes can be observed in the Customer Portal and PayNowPortal.

Once you have validated on your Sandbox, use Live Account Credentials to connect to Live Gateway.
