2021.08.02 Chrome 92 Issue with Custom Reports and Workaround – Ordway Support Portal

Issue Summary

As of Chrome version 92, customers may experience issues when working with Custom Reports in Ordway. This impact may appear with buttons that were previously functioning as expected such as:

Formulas (remove or replace)
Filters remove or replace)
Remove Charts
Remove Crosstabs
Duplicate a report

In the Chrome developer console logs, impacted users see the following error: "A different origin subframe tried to create a JavaScript dialog. This is no longer allowed and was blocked. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5148698084376576 for more details."

Workaround Options

1. Log into Ordway using one of the following browsers:

Mozilla Firefox
Internet Explorer
Microsoft Edge
Apple Safari

2. Log into Ordway using Chrome Browser version 91 or earlier.

3. To continue using Chrome 92, add the following command line flag to your Chrome shortcut:

--disable-features="SuppressDifferentOriginSubframeJSDialogs"
