Overview

Connect Ordway to Claude using a custom MCP connector. Once connected, Claude can access Ordway records such as customers, subscriptions, invoices, payments, billing schedules, revenue schedules, and journal entries based on your authenticated user's permissions.

Prerequisites

Before configuring the connector, ensure that:

• You have an active Ordway user account.
• You have access to Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise.
• You have the Ordway MCP Server URL: usprd-mcp.ordwaylabs.com

Claude plan requirements: Custom connectors are available on Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, on Claude web (claude.ai) and Claude Desktop. 

Setup for Individual Users (Pro / Max Plans)

1. Sign in to claude.ai (or open the Claude Desktop app). 
2. Go to Customize → Connectors.
3. Click the + (Add) icon.
4. Select Add custom connector. 
5. In the URL field, enter the MCP Server URL: usprd-mcp.ordwaylabs.com
6. Click Add.
7. Click Connect next to the new Ordway connector. You are automatically registered when you connect to Ordway MCP.

Result

The Ordway connector is successfully connected to Claude and is available for use in supported conversations.

Setup for Teams (Team / Enterprise Plans)

Step 1: Add the Ordway Connector (Owner or Administrator)

1. Sign in to claude.ai as an Owner or Administrator.
2. Navigate to Customize → Connectors.
   
3. Click the + (Add) icon. Select Add custom connector.
4. In the Name field, enter a name for the connector (for example, Ordway NA Prod).
5. In the URL field, enter the Ordway MCP Server URL: usprd-mcp.ordwaylabs.com.
6. Expand Advanced settings.
7. Click Add. The connector is now available for users in your Claude organization.

Step 2: Connect Your Account

1. Open Customize → Connectors.
2. Locate the Ordway connector in the connector list.
3. Click Connect.
4. Complete the connection process.

5. You are automatically registered when you connect to Ordway MCP.

Result

• The Ordway connector is successfully connected to Claude and is available for use in supported conversations.

• Each user connects their own account.

Using the Connector in a Chat

1. Start a new conversation in Claude.
2. Click the + (plus) button at the lower left of the chat input, then choose Connectors.
3. Turn on Ordway on for that conversation.
4. After enabling the connector, you can query Ordway data directly from Claude. 
5. For example:
   • "Show me all invoices for customer Acme Corp"
   • "What subscriptions are renewing this month?"
   • "Summarize payments received this week"

Notes

• Each user connects their own Ordway account. 
• You can access only the data permitted by your Ordway role and permissions. 
• Team and Enterprise administrators can make the connector available organization-wide.

Information for Your IT / Security Team

• MCP Server URL: usprd-mcp.ordwaylabs.com
• Data access: Claude accesses Ordway data based on the permissions associated with the connected Ordway account.
