Overview
Save field mappings in the Import Wizard to reuse column mappings for future imports. Saved mappings help reduce manual mapping effort and ensure consistency across repeated imports.
Before You Begin
- Upload a valid import file in the Import Wizard.
- Ensure the imported columns are mapped correctly to the corresponding Ordway fields.
Save a Field Mapping
- In the left navigation menu, click Operations > Import Data. The Import data page is displayed.

Select the object to import.
Upload the import file and click NEXT.
The Map Columns page is displayed.
Verify the field mappings. Ordway automatically maps columns with matching names.

Optional: Remove an existing mapping by clicking the X icon next to the mapped field.

Click SAVE.

The Name Custom Mapping dialog box is displayed.
- Enter a value in the Mapping Label box.
- Optional: Select Make mappings default check box to use the mapping automatically for future imports.
Click SAVE.

The saved mapping is available in the Select Saved Mapping drop-down list.
Use a Saved Field Mapping
- Navigate to the Map Columns page during an import.
- Locate the Select Saved Mapping field.
Select a saved mapping from the drop-down list. The saved field mappings are applied automatically.
Reset Field Mappings
On the Map Columns page, click RESET. The field mappings are reset.
Notes
- Saved mappings are available only for the corresponding import object.
- Incorrect mappings may result in import validation errors.
- Review all mapped fields before continuing the import process.
