There are several options for disabling Taxes within QuickBooks. Choose the option that works best for your organization.
Note: Because these steps all take place in Quickbooks, please reach out to your QuickBooks Account Manager for additional guidance and needed assistance.
Option 1: Disable Tax from Settings
Steps:
- Navigate to the Settings Page and click the Gear icon.
- Click on Accounts and Settings.
- From the Advanced Tab, click on Accounting.
- If the Tax setting is present, disable it.
If this setting is not available in your Quickbooks account, the recommendation is to mark all Products in QuickBooks as Non-Taxable. See Option 3 below.
Option 2: Disable Tax from Side Navigation Bar
Steps:
- Click Taxes from the side navigation bar.
- Click Sales Tax Settings.
- Disable Taxes
- Save.
