Report Calculations Explained
The Revenue Report is primarily driven by the Revenue Schedules associated with any Subscriptions and Orders created in Ordway. Each Revenue Schedule can have multiple Revenue Schedule Lines, each with a Posting Date and a Period Revenue amount. The report aggregates all Revenue Schedule Lines in a given month to determine the total revenue for the month.
By default this revenue is grouped by Customer Name and the Contract ID, where the Contract ID will be either the Subscription ID or Order ID associated with the Revenue Schedule.
For older Subscriptions in Ordway with revenue that is recognized on invoicing but don’t have an associated Revenue Schedule, this report will instead use the associated Billing Schedule to calculate revenue. In this case revenue will be determined by the amount for each Billing Schedule Line and the Charge Ready Date.
For older Orders in Ordway that do not have a Revenue Schedule associated with them, this report will instead use the Order to calculate revenue. In this case, revenue will be determined by the Amount associated with each Order and the Order Date.
Transaction Currency shown is Base Currency. Refer to the Filters section to view transactions by Transaction Currency.
When to Schedule this Report
