Editing an existing Plan updates the Plan Template used to create and update future Subscriptions.
Important Notes:
- Editing a Plan does not update existing Subscriptions for which the Plan has been applied.
- Changes go into effect only when the edited Plan is applied to a future Subscription.
- Deleting an existing Plan removes it from the user’s Plans and prevents it from being applied to Contracts.
- When the Plan is already used in Subscription Contracts, the Plan cannot be deleted. A Plan can be deactivated through the edit steps provided below.
Preconditions:
- The plan must already exist.
- The Plan ID cannot be changed as it is the identifying object for this plan. In order to edit a Plan, the user must edit the Plan with the same Plan ID.
- To delete a Plan, it must not be used in any Subscription Contracts.
Steps:
- Navigate to Menu > Products and Plans > Plans and Charges.
- Click Edit or Delete from Actions menu for the desired Plan.
3. Confirm deletion when Delete is selected.
4. To Edit, update any editable fields, including Plan Name, Description, Status, and Charges.
5. Save when finished.
