Import Wizard Overview

Ordway features an in-app import wizard to help streamline operations and effectively manage one of your most important assets, data. The Import Wizard facilitates a step-by-step guided experience with sample templates, field mappings, and the ability to view and correct errors.

Your team relies on you to upload and update data quickly and with precision. In this guide, you will learn the basics of the import process and the import wizard so you can manage with data efficiently. 

Here are a few scenarios where an import tool can help:

• Migrate data from one system to another during initial implementation
• Upload or update data without using APIs
• Upload external payments processed outside of our payment processor (i.e. checks)
• Upload daily, weekly, or monthly usage records in bulk 
• Update standard or custom fields in bulk

Our import wizard allows you to quickly create and update records in Ordway by following a three-step process:

1. Build Import File
2. Import Data
3. View Import History

Note: Users must have Add & Edit permissions for the specific objects they wish to import. Read more about Permissions. 

Limits

The current limit is 25,000 total records per import.
