Within Salesforce, click the Create Change Opportunity button on any activated Subscription.
Some data from the Contract will be auto populated on the New Opportunity page layout associated with this Opportunity Type (see Ordway Settings documentation for more info).
Save when finished.
Once the new Opportunity is created, you will see Opportunity Products copied* from line items on the Ordway Contract**.
*The mapping for all data that is copied from Contract/Contract Line to Opportunity/Opportunity Line Item can be controlled in the Ordway Settings tab, under the Ordway Field Mappings sub-tab.
**On Ordway Contract records that have a Synced Opportunity, the data for the Opportunity Products will be copied from the Synced Opportunity record and its Opportunity Products, and not from the Ordway Contract Line Items.
If values are present in the Synced Opportunity field, but the Synced Opportunity does not have products/plans on it, remove the Synced Opportunity before continuing to create a Change or Renewal Opportunity.
From here the user can update the products/plans via the Update Plans button, or continue to Close Won the change.
Depending on your settings, you may need to click Update Ordway Contract to send these changes down to the Ordway Contract record in Salesforce and eventually to Ordway.
Once updated via button or automation, the Ordway Contract in Salesforce is updated with the new Change Opportunity data.
Depending on your settings you might need to sync these changes to Ordway.
Once the Contract has Synced and is In-Sync, click the View In Ordway button to see the updated Contract in Ordway.
Please ask your admin if you are unsure of any of your automation settings, which can be found in the Ordway Settings tab in Salesforce.
If you have a value in the Synced Opportunity field, but your Synced Opportunity does not have products/plans on it, you will need to remove the Synced Opportunity before continuing to create a Change or Renewal Opportunity.
