Map the State and Country fields correctly in the Ordway Salesforce Integration settings to ensure contact records use the required values when you add or edit contacts in Salesforce.
Prerequisites
- Enable the State and Country/Territory Picklists feature in Salesforce, if it is not already enabled.
- The State value in Salesforce must equal a two-digit code and Country must follow ISO code.
Complete the following steps in Ordway to ensure the mappings accurately carry over to Salesforce.
Configure State and Country Mapping
Configure the mappings in both the To Ordway and To Salesforce tabs.
Step 1: Configure the To Ordway Mappings
- In Ordway, go to Menu > Setup > Integrations > Salesforce > Settings. The Setup Salesforce page is displayed.
- Open the TO ORDWAY tab.
- On the three-dot menu, select Map Contacts for the Contacts data type. The Contacts Mapping dialog box is displayed.
- Navigate to the second page of the field mappings, where the State and Country fields appear.
- Map the State field to the appropriate two-character state code and the Country field to the appropriate ISO country code.
- Click SAVE.
Step 2: Configure the To Salesforce Mappings
- Open the TO SALESFORCE tab in Setup Salesforce page.
- On the three-dot menu, select Map Contacts for the Contacts data type.
- Locate the State field and select the appropriate two-character state code.
- Locate the Country field and select the appropriate ISO country code.
- Click SAVE.
Important
- The State value must use the appropriate two-character state code.
- The Country value must use the appropriate ISO country code.
- Ensure that the mappings are configured in both directions to maintain consistent State and Country values between Ordway and Salesforce.
