Allow Deletion of Ordway Contracts in Salesforce

By default, the Allow Delete setting for the Ordway Contract custom metadata type is unchecked in Salesforce. This setting helps prevent accidental data loss when deleting records in Ordway could affect related or dependent records in Salesforce.

Enable this setting only when there is an explicit business need to allow deletions and the potential risks are understood.

Why Is Allow Delete Disabled by Default?

Deleting data in Ordway can have cascading effects in Salesforce because records may be related to or depend on other records. The Allow Delete setting is therefore disabled by default to help prevent unintended data loss.

Enable Allow Delete

To allow deletions for Ordway Contracts in Salesforce:

1. In Salesforce, navigate to Setup.
   
2. Open Custom Metadata Types.
3. Locate Ordway Contract.
4. Find the Delete Settings section.
5. Select the Allow Delete checkbox.
6. Save the configuration, if required by the Salesforce interface.
