Feature Enhancements

New Analytics Platform

Classic Reports End of Life Reminder

As a reminder, Classic Reports will reach end of life on December 31, 2023. If you have not yet migrated to the New Analytics Platform, please do so. Please reach out to Support should you need additional assistance.

Reporting Currency Conversion

All Analytics Reports now include a Reporting Currency filter. This filter works as a conversion mechanism to reflect all currency fields in the selected Currency from the available drop-down menu. This feature is ideal for companies managing multiple currencies needing to consolidate amounts into a specific currency. 

Select Transaction Currency to view the data in the active currency for each transaction. Or select another currency from the drop-down menu to view all transactions converted into the selected currency. 

Conversion rate applied for the selected currency is based on current active exchange rate from the Manage Currencies page.

Note: Aggregate functions should only be applied when all the transactions have the same currency. Aggregation or grouping to get the sum of any currency field using Transaction Currency can provide incorrect results when the result set contains records from different currencies.

Finance

New Revenue Recognition Rule

Straight-line, Front loaded has been added as a new Revenue Recognition Rule. 

How it works: Revenue is recognized in equal amounts where a full period of revenue is recognized in the first month of the contract term regardless of the day of the month that the contract starts. No revenue is recognized in the last month of the contract term when there is a partial period end date to the term. Read more. 

Platform

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA has been added as an optional additional layer of security by requiring the authentication of Ordway platform users. Users must download an Authenticator application to complete the authentication process and to access Ordway once established. 

At a future date, Ordway will require MFA for all users as an extra layer of security.

Commerce

Customer Portal 

• Display Custom Fields : Ordway users can now select what custom fields their customers see in the Customer Portal. While creating custom fields, there is a new toggle called Display on Customer Portal used to determine which fields are visible.
• File type custom field is downloadable: Files uploaded in custom fields and made available to Customer Portal are now downloadable from Customer Portal as well.
  
  

Stripe Canadian ACH Enhancements

• Micro-Deposit Verification email will be sent out to customers 
• Resend Verification Email option added in Ordway
• Verified label for verified Canadian bank accounts

Journal Entry option for payments on Payment Runs page

A Journal Entry option has been added which helps users smoothly navigate to the JEs for payments created during a Payments Run.

The November Salesforce release mentioned here has been pushed to all environments. 

API Updates

Ordway is currently reviewing our API documentation and making improvements. 

• All API Call descriptions have been updated with additional information. 
• API call fields are currently being updated as well.
