Summary
Journal Entry (and other Intacct-bound) syncs can fail with:
Response authentication status failure —
XL03000006Session […] is not valid
AWS Request ID:<guid>(reference only)
This means the Intacct auth session used by Ordway expired, was invalidated, or credentials changed. Re‑authenticating the Intacct connection in Ordway and then retrying the failed syncs resolves the issue.
You may also see a separate validation error like:
“Missingintacct_idfor Chart of Account with Code: 99999, please sync Chart Of Account first.”
That indicates master‑data mapping is out of date; see Step 3 below.
Reference: Zendesk #19218 (internal)
Error Signatures
XL03000006 Session [...] is not valid- 401/403 at Intacct endpoint with auth failure
- Subsequent webhook/log entries show Code: 400 with
OrdwayValidationmessages if master data is also stale
Common Causes
- Intacct Web Services User password rotated or user deactivated
- Sender ID / Company ID changed or mistyped
- Intacct session timed out or was invalidated by policy changes (IP restrictions, role updates)
Resolution
Step 1 — Reauthenticate Intacct in Ordway
You need an Ordway administrator account.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Sage Intacct.
- Click Reconnect (or edit connection) and re‑enter:
- Intacct Web Services User (ID & Password)
- Company ID
- Sender ID (and Sender Password, if applicable)
- Save to re‑establish the session.
Tips
- Verify the WS user is active and has required role/permissions in Intacct.
- Confirm Sender ID is authorized for your Intacct company.
- Watch for typos & password rotations.
Step 2 — Retry the failed Journal Entries
- In Ordway, open Accounting → Journal Entries (or the relevant queue/log page).
- Filter by Failed.
- Use Retry Sync on the impacted entries.
- Confirm status changes to Success.
Step 3 — (If you also see COA mapping errors) Refresh Chart of Accounts
If logs show: “Missing intacct_id for Chart Of Account with Code: 99999…”
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Sage Intacct.
- Run Sync Data → Chart of Accounts (and any other relevant objects, e.g., Locations, Departments, Classes).
- Verify that Ordway GL accounts now have the
intacct_idpopulated. - Retry the affected entries.
