Filter Standard and user created reports via the Simple Report Builder as you see fit in Ordway using these three filter options: 

• Basic Filters - Standard filters available in each report
• Advanced Match - Filter based on advanced field conditions
• Custom Filters - Include AND or OR logic

Basic Filters

Click the Filters arrow to expand the section and adjust the criteria as needed within any Standard Report. 

These predefined basic filters cannot be changed in a Standard Report, but data can be cleared from the filters in order to see all results within the provided parameters. Available filters vary among the different Standard Reports and Organization settings. 

A Reporting Currency filter is available for all reports containing currency data. This filter works as a conversion mechanism to reflect all currency fields in the selected Currency from the available drop-down menu. This feature is ideal for companies managing multiple currencies needing to consolidate amounts into a specific currency. 

Select Transaction Currency to view the data in the active currency for each transaction. Or select another currency from the drop-down menu to view all transactions converted into the selected currency. 

Conversion rate applied for the selected currency is based on current active exchange rate from the Manage Currencies page.

Note: Aggregate functions should only be applied when all the transactions have the same currency. Aggregation or grouping to get the sum of any currency field using Transaction Currency can provide incorrect results when the result set contains records from different currencies.

Use the Advanced Report Builder to customize filters and data to the fullest extent possible. 

Basic Filters Example:

Click X next to the corresponding result to remove if from the filtered results.

Click + to add a new filter condition. AND and OR options are determined by the field being filtered.

Adjust the filter criteria from the available list. Available options include text, time, and numeric dimensions dependent on the field being filtered.

Text Dimension Example: 

Start typing the desired text and Ordway automatically displays matching results. 

Add Multiple Values

Paste a list of multiple values separated by commas to quickly populate the filter.

Best Practice: Paste a small list into the filter criteria at first as a maximum number of entries may exist based on your browser or network. 

Example: 

Paste the following into the filter criteria table: ABC Telecom, Acme Corp, Ajax, Alaska Ventures

Time Dimension Example: 

Select a date range or time value for the filter. 

Numeric Dimension Example: 

Identify a numeric value for the filter. 

Advanced Match

To use the Advanced Match option, change the filter criteria to matches (advanced) if necessary, and enter the desired expression. Then click Run to refresh the report results.

Custom Filters

Click + to add a new filter condition within the predefined filters in any Standard Report. AND and OR options are determined by the field being filtered.

A Custom filter allows for maximum control over the fields, functions, and operators used to filter data. Custom filters are available only within the Advanced Report Builder.
