Template HTML Changes

To avoid breaking existing template code and liquid logic, use the correct methods provided below to edit HTML in any Ordway Template based on the type of change you want to make.

Making code changes via the Preview modal view breaks the embedded code and makes the templates unusable.

Liquid Code/Logic Changes

Complete the following steps to create a rule for changing the language of the emails to make a permanent change to Template Liquid code or logic. 

Steps:

1. Navigate to Menu > Setup > Manage Templates > Open Template.

2. Edit the template directly via the Template screen. All Liquid code/logic should be updated/included in this view.

3. Preview the changes and Save when finished. 

Language or Text Changes from one email for a specific customer

Complete the following steps to change a small piece of text for a specific Customer via the Preview Email Modal.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Menu > Operations > Invoices 

2. Choose an Invoice and click on the Menu (three dots) option > Email.

2. Click Source to edit the source HTML modal view.
Important: Do not include any Liquid code/logic edits in this view. Note that the text changes will be applied only for this email and this customer, it means that the template is not being changed.

3. Preview the changes and Send when finished.
