The contact is a crucial component of a Customer because of the information it provides. A Contact is tied to one particular Customer (but a Customer can have more than one contact).
Preconditions:
The Customer must already be created in Ordway before a Contact can be added.
Steps:
- Navigate to Menu > Customer Accounts.
- Search for the Customer to associate a Contact with.
- Click on the Customer.
- Navigate to the Contacts section.
- Click +Add.
6. Complete the Contact fields:
Note: The only required field is Display Name. Utilize the Email field to send emails directly to the Contact. Add additional email addresses separated by a comma to include additional recipients.
An address is also required to include taxable Products, as the tax amount is derived from the address (City, State, Zip, Country).
7. Save when finished.
Import or Export Contacts
Ordway imports are a great way for bulk data entry. For bulk editing of data, simply export all or a subset of records, make the changes and re-import back into Ordway.
