Create Formula-based Custom Fields

New Revenue Recognition Method: Recognize on Invoicing (available 12/13)

  • A new revenue recognition method used for non-deferred revenue named Recognize on Invoicing will be released 12/13. This rule will be added to all Ordway instances by default and products that were previously categorized as non-deferred revenue products will be updated with the rule.
  • Revenue recognition is directly tied to the invoicing event (invoice date) and the amount of revenue recognized is equal to the invoice line amount.
  • Edits made to invoices in an open Financial Period will automatically update the revenue schedule line and coinciding Journal Entry.
  • The toggle for Non-deferred Revenue within the Accounting Information for a Product will be deprecated and will default to the newly created recognition method (and rule) format.
  • You will now have the ability to set the Debit side of the accounting entry which previously defaulted to the Accounts Receivable configured in the Finance Settings.

  • Bi-directional Sync for Accounts and Contacts
    • Sync from SFDC to Ordway

  • A new setting has been added in Ordway Settings in SFDC to enable auto-sync Accounts to Ordway. Only Accounts that have Ordway Customer IDs will be created or updated in Ordway.
  • A new setting has been added in Ordway Settings in SFDC to enable auto-sync Account Contacts to Ordway. Only Contacts associated with Accounts that have Ordway Customer IDs will be created or updated in Ordway.
  • Sync from Ordway to SDFC:
    • Webhook functionality in Ordway for the Contact object will enable changes to Billing/Shipping Contacts on Subscriptions in Ordway to auto-sync to SFDC.The webhook for Contacts is set to OFF by default.

  • New Package Fields:

    • New Ordway fields on the Contact object:
      • Ordway Contact ID text field is auto-populated with a value when the Contact is linked to Ordway through a sync.
      • Ordway Customer ID formula field is auto-populated with a value when the Account related to the Contact is linked to Ordway and has an Ordway Customer ID.
      • Sync to Ordway checkbox. When selected, updates to the contact sync to Ordway when the auto-sync to Ordway setting is enabled.
    • New Shipping Contact fields on Ordway Contract object and page layout:
      • Shipping Contact lookup field.
      • Shipping contact same as billing contact checkbox.

Deprecated Package Fields:

  • Deprecated fields on the Ordway Contract object:
    • Ordway Billing Email
    • Ordway Billing Street
    • Ordway Billing City
    • Ordway Billing State
    • Ordway Billing Zip Code
    • Ordway Billing Country
  • The above fields were also removed from the Ordway Contract, Opportunity and Quote page layouts.
  • These changes to the default Ordway Contract page layout will override any previous customizations made to the Ordway Contract page layout. Prior to installing this package version, clone the Ordway Contract page layout that is currently used to avoid losing any changes.
