Overview
As part of onboarding to Ordway Payments, a Balance Account is automatically created and assigned to your Ordway instance.
Your integration with Ordway Payments begins with the creation of this Balance Account.
What is a Balance Account?
A Balance Account stores all processed funds after:
- Transaction fees
- Refunds
- Disputes
View Balance Account
- In the left navigation menu, click Ordway payments → Transaction Dashboard. The Transaction Dashboard page is displayed.
- Click View this balance account link. The Balance Account page is displayed, showing the available balance and related details.
Features of the Balance Account
- Balance Account Name & ID
Displays the unique identifier and name of the balance account - Available Balance
The amount available for payout (undeposited funds ready to be transferred to the associated bank account) - Reserved Balance for Outgoing Funds
Funds set aside to cover:- Chargebacks
- Processing fees
(used when available balance is insufficient)
- Pending Balance for Incoming Funds
Funds that are in transit (e.g., payments captured but not yet settled) - Last Synced At
Displays the date and time when the balance account was last updated - Currency
The default currency of the balance account
