Finance

Controls for One-time Charges

In our February Release, two new controls were added to One-time charges. This was previously communicated that clients must contact Ordway support to enable these controls. These enhancements are now currently available and automatically enabled by default.

• • Credit Charge on Cancellation - When enabled, a negative billing schedule line will be added to credit the invoiced billing schedule line on cancellation of the contract and a negative revenue schedule line will be added to offset any recognized revenue.
  • Remove Billing Schedule Line on Cancellation - Unbilled billing schedule line will be removed on cancellation of the contract and a negative revenue schedule line will be added to offset any recognized revenue.

Import & Export Data

Security

Password Policy

Additional password requirements have been added to improve user security and privacy. Learn more about Ordway’s password policy.

• Passwords expire every 180 days. 
• The last three previously used passwords cannot be repeated.

Account Lockout

• User accounts are locked after five (5) failed login attempts. 

Unlock User Accounts

• Once locked, an admin or any user with permission to edit users can unlock a user account. Learn more about unlocking an account.

App Performance

Plans & Charges

All plans will now display a maximum of five (5) charges by default with the ability to expand / collapse the full list of charges per plan. This change along with additional optimization has resulted in significant performance improvements (> 50% faster load time) on the following pages:

Invoice Filter

Filter invoices based on fields on the invoice lines like Product Name, Plan Name, Charge, etc.

Colorado Department of Revenue Retail Delivery Fee

• A retail delivery fee takes effect July 2, 2022, and applies to all taxable items delivered by motor vehicle to Colorado. Avalara clients received an email dated June 14th, 2022 providing links to a detailed Customer Communication and Help Center article. 
• Ordway Clients:
  • Please direct any questions about this new requirement directly to Avalara.  
  • Reach out to Ordway Support to make any needed changes to your Ordway-generated invoice document templates in order to meet this new regulation.

Salesforce

Minor Package Update v3.8.5

Push upgrade to Sandbox orgs is scheduled for July 10th, 2022 at 3AM ET.

Push upgrade to Production orgs is scheduled for July 24, 2022 at 3AM ET.

• Schedule a job on a daily basis to keep field mappings in sync between systems.
• A webhook notification is triggered to Salesforce when a mapping is updated in Ordway. 
• Enhanced API orchestration for the Salesforce-Ordway integration to improve stability and performance while syncing Account and Contact records.
• Users can now configure their own filter criteria outside of predefined query parameters.
• Protected Custom Settings to manage new features.
  • For clients already using the Scheduler, enable this setting to ignore hidden filters and to apply only the criteria configured in the Scheduled Apex Sync - Salesforce to Ordway section of the Sync Jobs tab on the Ordway Settings page.
