A preview of Ordway's October 2022 release is now available in your Sandbox environment. Please read these release notes to familiarize yourself with new features in Sandbox over the next week.

Your Production environment is expected to be updated with the latest release on October 8th. 

Ordway is committed to constantly improving performance for our users. This involves regular enhancements to our product that may not be noticeable to the user, yet ensures optimal system performance.

Because we introduce these enhancements in our monthly releases, we suggest regularly testing in Sandbox with each new release to ensure continuity of your operations in Ordway.

Feature Enhancements

Finance

Support for Alternative Foreign Exchange Rate Providers 

Ordway now supports receiving foreign exchange rates from any rate providers via CSV import or API. This release will keep multi-currency companies’ subledgers in-sync by utilizing the same FX rates across Ordway and the general ledger. Reach out to Ordway Support to have this feature enabled. 

Exclude 0 Value Lines in Billing Runs

Ordway now supports excluding billing schedule lines with a value of 0 from Billing Runs. Activating  this feature determines whether or not billing schedules with 0 value lines are invoiced. In turn, this generally improves Billing Run efficiency and performance.

This feature is available via Menu > Setup > General Settings > Invoice Settings and is disabled by default.

Data Import Wizard

Ability to auto-detect Date Formats Defined for Excel-based Imports

Ordway's recently released data import wizard has been enhanced to now automatically detect appropriate date formats defined in Excel files for data imports. In other words, if the Excel file has been correctly formatted to denote date-related data, Ordway's Import Wizard will automatically detect and process it. 

Billing Batch Imports are Now Case Insensitive

The process to import Billing Batches has been streamlined in Ordway's Import Data Wizard. With this release, Billing Batch names will no longer be case sensitive. Consequently, it will be important to review and eliminate any duplicate billing batches that may be currently in place.

Commerce

Ability to Sort Subscription Charges 

Ordway has introduced the concept of line numbers for Charges within Plans that are part of Subscription Contracts. This enables the ability to automatically sort Charges in ascending order to improve the user experience and invoice presentation.

Minor Package Release v3.10.13

Push upgrade to Sandbox orgs is scheduled for September 20th, 2022 at 3AM ET.

Push upgrade to Production orgs is scheduled for September 25th, 2022 at 3AM ET.

Support for Custom Revenue Recognition Start and End Date

• Custom Revenue Recognition start and end date fields made available to the salesforce package for mapping on Contract Line Item, Quote Line Item, and Opportunity Product.

Improved Error Message Handling

• Error messages are now displayed in a more user friendly way. Customers can now better understand the error messages and take appropriate action.
