Payment Gateway Error Messaging

Refer to the following for common payment gateway error messages. Ordway has limited visibility beyond the provided messages. 

Be sure to review these important notes regarding individual gateway requirements and limitations. 

Error: Payment gateway error occurred while processing the payment: Transaction not permitted to cardholder. 

Resolution: This is not an Ordway error. Ask the client to either try another card for payment or contact their payment gateway for additional information. 

Error: general gateway error message

Resolution: This is not an Ordway error and may have been caused by an outage or connection issue with the gateway. Ask the client to contact their payment gateway for additional information. 

Payment Declined Error: Payment gateway error occurred while processing the payment: Do not try again

Resolution: This is not an Ordway error. It may be due to an address not matching the account details. Ask the client to verify the Billing Address within the payment gateway.
