Manage Multi-entity Chart of Accounts

A Chart of Accounts (CoA) created at the top-level entity can be made available for use within all child entities. However, Child Entities cannot create, edit, or delete a CoA at the child level. All activity takes places as the top-level entity. 

Note: Changes are reflected in all child entities when an account within a top-level entity is edited.

Ensure CoA appears in Sub-Entities

Complete the following steps to ensure the CoA appear in the sub-entities:

1. Create your main instance (i.e. the parent)
2. Import the CoA at the parent.
3. Create sub-entities from there.

Note: If you create all entities before importing the CoA instead of following these steps, they will not appear in the sub-entities.
