Once enabled, users can create and manage child entities for an organization.
Note: A Parent organization can share both Customers and Products to their child entities.
Important Notes
Entity relationships and hierarchy cannot be managed within child entities.
The following default GL Accounts are automatically generated for each multi-entity organization:
- Income Account, Account Receivable, Deferred Revenue, Contract Deferred Revenue, Electronic Payments, External Payments, Payment Transaction Fees, Credits, Refunds, Taxes, Free Trial, Realized Gain Loss GL, Early Pay Discount GL, and Late Pay Charge GL.
Steps:
- Navigate to Menu > Setup > Organization Structure > Manage Entities.
- Click Add to create a new Entity.
- Populate the New Entity. The view is very similar to the Company Profile view, with the exception of the following required fields: Entity ID, Entity Name, Parent Entity, Base Currency, and Country.
- Add a Logo if desired.
- Add Contact Information and Address. A county is required.
- Define Legal Information.
- Save when finished.
