Row Limits
When a report reaches a Row Limit, table calculations and row total sorting is not available.
Best Practice: Further refine the data using filters to reduce the total number of rows.
Column Options
Click the Gear icon to the right of a Column Header to view Column Options. Available options vary based on the data values and actions taken while building/editing the report.
Remove
This option removes the column and data from the report builder. Re-add any column from the All Fields section on the left hand side.
Filter
Use this feature to filter any field from within the All Fields section.
This option automatically displays the Filters section above the report data table with default filter criteria. Adjust the criteria as needed. Run the report when finished to view the filtered results.
To remove an added filter at any time, click the X icon next to the filter.
Pivot
Pivoting allows users to display row data as columns. Dimensions can also be added to pivot tables for further data analysis.
Example Report without pivot:
Select the Pivot Data icon in the All Fields list to pivot data.
Example Report with pivot:
Duplicate
This option is available for a created column using one of the existing column options.
Example: Duplicate an existing calculation column and edit it to calculate different data.
Calculations
This option allows you to add a dimension to the report data in one of the following ways:
Once a calculation is selected from the list, it is added to the report table.
Example: Customers Account Balance column calculated with % of Column
Bin
This option allows you to add a dimension to the report by creating tier(s) of numeric data.
Populate a Bin
Steps:
Best Practice: Click Get field info to determine the minimum and maximum values.
Select the Bin Type:
- Equal-sized - break the bin into equal ranges such as 0-15, 15-30, 30-45.
- Custom-sized - break the bin into custom ranges you see fit such as 0-25, 25-45, 45-75.
Enter the Bin Size, Minimum and Maximum Values.
When Equal-sized Bin Type is selected, bins are broken into equal segments based on the Bin Size entered.
When Custom-sized Bin Type is selected, enter the tiers separated by commas in the bin breakpoints section.
Enter a required Field name.
Save when finished.
Created Bins display on the report as dimensions.
Group
Groups can be used to categorize data that does not include a Measure or Aggregation.
Once created, the new Group is added as a report column.
Hide this from visualization
This option hides the data from the visualization table. Hidden columns display as follows.
To unhide a column at any time, click the gear icon and select Show this field in visualization.
Copy Values
This option copies the data in the entire column which can then be pasted into a variety of additional applications.
Edit Column Name
Click the Visualization tab above the Report canvas and then click Edit on the far right side. Next click Series and scroll to Customizations. Select the Column Name and enter the new Column Name in the Label field over the existing name.
Sort Options
Hover over a column header to reveal the sort icon. Click the sort icon to sort the column in an ascending order. Click the column header again to sort the data in a descending order.

Customers Account Balance Column is sorted descending.

Sort Multiple Columns
To sort multiple columns, hold down the Shift key and select the columns in the order you want them sorted.
Move Columns
Click and drag a Column Header to the desired position within the report results.
Subtotal Sorting
When subtotals are present in a report, the far left column is automatically sorted. Sorting is present in each subtotal category independently.
