The June Ordway Platform Release is now available in Sandbox.

As a reminder, new releases first deploy to Sandbox instances. Releases then move to the Production environment after one week of Sandbox access. 

The Ordway release process has been adjusted to allow for customer acclimation and use case testing of new features and platform enhancements without affecting Production data.

Feature Enhancements

Additional Enhanced Filters for Products, Plans, Usage, and Journal Entries

• Easy to use filters that allow you to search and view data as you see fit.

Finance

• Close Financial Periods with transaction validations
  • To ensure that all transactions within a given financial period have associated Journal Entries before closing your books, the application will now scan the Financial Period(s) being closed to validate that all transactions in the period have associated Journal Entries. 
  • All transactions missing Journal Entries will be surfaced and you are presented with the option to automatically generate Journal Entries before closing the books. 

• Edit Journal Entries
  • • • Ability to edit Dates and Accounts for Journal Entries in open Financial Period(s). All edits will be auditable. 

Tools & Logs

• Navigate to Menu > Operations > Logs > Webhook Logs. 
• Added object and ID to webhook logs and improved search capability.

Reports

MRR/ARR Report

• A toggle has been added: Include Draft Subscriptions. Turning this on and running the report updates the results to include MRR / ARR from all Subscriptions with recurring revenue, including those in Draft status. 
• This option is turned OFF by default.  

Integrations

Salesforce

• Updated Sync Behavior for Subscription Contracts created directly in Ordway.
  • Contracts created directly in Ordway will automatically trigger an update to Salesforce if: 
    • The Customer associated with the contract is linked to Salesforce and has a Salesforce ID. 
    • The auto-sync updates from Ordway setting is enabled. 
    • The webhook for Contracts is enabled. 
  • Salesforce will create a new standalone Ordway Contract record that will not be associated with any Opportunity.

• Push Upgrades
  • Beginning with v3.0.1, new package versions will automatically upgrade in Salesforce production orgs. The push upgrade for package v.3.0.1 is scheduled on Sunday, June 27th at 3AM EST. 
• Features & Enhancements
  • Ordway Product and Ordway Plan Sync
    • Create and update Ordway Products, Plans, and Charges directly within the Salesforce user interface and sync them to Ordway. 
    • Products and Plans created or updated in Ordway can be automatically synced to Salesforce. 
  • Plan Picker v2.0
    • Plan Picker v2.0 is a new feature that provides a user interface to add, remove, and set the order of fields to be displayed in the plan picker and configure each field to be read-only or editable. 
    • Once the feature is enabled, these configurations can be made in the Plan Picker tab under Ordway Settings. 
    • Enhancements to the Plan Picker interface, including improved Selected Plans and All Plans tab labels to better distinguish between all available plans and plans that have been added to an Opportunity. 
  • New Features tab in Ordway Settings
    • Ordway Settings will have a new tab where new features can be enabled by a click of a button. In v3.0.1, new features include Plan Picker v2.0.
