The August Ordway Platform Release is now available in Sandbox. As a reminder, new releases first deploy to Sandbox instances.

This release moves to the Production environment August 11th.

Workflow Automation

Ordway has launched a new automated workflow feature!

• Workflows can help streamline and automate repeatable business tasks, minimizing room for errors, and increase overall efficiency.
• These tasks can vary from sending an email to taking actions within Ordway or an external application. For example, send an automated email to new customers, or update the status of your customer after all of their contracts have expired.

Feature Enhancements

Filter by Contact

Filter customers by contact name, email address, and more. 

Notification Center - Billing Run Notifications

• Get notified of billing run updates via Menu >Setup > Notifications.

Notification Center - Quote Notifications

• Get notified when a quote fails to convert to a draft subscription automatically when the auto-convert setting described below is enabled.
• Quote notifications can be enabled or disabled in Menu > Setup > Notifications.

Auto-Convert Quotes upon Completion

A new Quote setting has been added to enable quotes to be converted to a draft subscription automatically when they reach Completed status.

• Access this setting: Menu > Setup > General Settings > Quote Settings.

Import Blank Values for Custom Fields

• Ordway has address the way imports work to allow you to clear custom fields. You can now leave the field blank when importing a record or multiple records. This clears the value previously in that field.

Example: To remove a Salesforce ID for a customer, import the customer with a blank value for salesforceID. This clears out the previous entry.

Add and Edit Revenue Schedule Lines

• Manually add revenue schedule lines to existing revenue schedules.
• Edit existing revenue schedule lines including lines that have posted:
  • Associated journal entry will automatically update
  • Editing is also supported via API and Import

• Upon saving, a warning message appears confirming the total scheduled revenue does not equal the total amount billed for the same subscription charge.

Avalara Integration - Support for Credits

• Credit line sales tax calculations sourced from and sent to Avalara.

Payments

• When creating a new external payment, Wire has been added as an option in addition to Check, ACH, Credit Card, and Other.

Print or Email Large Number of Invoices

For the best Ordway experience, we recommend breaking invoices into batches of no more than 1,000 per batch for print or email. 

Streamlined Processes

• Added a system user record which will be used for all system tasks with the exception of webhooks System@ordwaylabs.com.

Reports

Custom Reports updates for Subscription Contract Charges

• The Subscription Contract Charges data source in Custom Reports will now include all version(s) of the subscription that the Charge is associated with.
• Since a subscription Charge can be associated with multiple versions, we’ve also added a field called Latest Version indicating the latest version of the subscription that has a particular Charge.

Salesforce Integration

• The Ordway Connector package version 3.1.8 is now available. Details of package updates and the package installation URL can be found here.
• A push upgrade of v3.1.8 to all production orgs is scheduled for Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 3AM EST.
