The July Ordway Platform Release is now available in Sandbox.

As a reminder, new releases first deploy to Sandbox instances.

This release moves to the Production environment July 21st.

Feature Enhancements

New Notification Center!

• Ordway’s Notification Center makes it easier to stay informed on our latest releases. Users can also receive System Notifications for Usage Imports. Additional Ordway modules will be added to the Notification Center throughout 2021 and beyond.

Additional Enhanced Filters for Orders, Billing Schedules, Quotes, and Revenue Schedules

• Easy to use filters that allow you to search and view data as you see fit.

Finance

Credit Enhancements: Credits with Credit Lines

• Generate Credits with multiple Credit Lines.
  • Each line will be assigned its own Product & GL Account allowing users to apply one credit across multiple invoices and invoice lines. 

• • Sales Tax can be calculated at the line level if the Customer and Product meet your taxable requirements. The line tax can also be edited or removed when sales tax is not applicable.
•  
  • Credits can also be generated directly from the Invoice page by clicking Add Credit in the More Actions drop-down menu.
•  
  • All historical and existing Credits will be migrated to this new framework where Credit data will be added as the first Credit Line. 

Credit Enhancements: Credit PDF & Email Templates

• Create and customize Credit PDF & email templates
  • Navigate to the Credits section of Menu > Setup > Manage Templates page to view and edit your template. The template can be modified in the same way as an Invoice template.

• Create and write email templates to send to Customers with the PDF copies of their Credits. This option can also be found via Menu > Setup > Manage Templates page in the Email Templates section.

Multi-currency: Consolidated Exchange Rates

• Ordway now supports two additional exchange rate types in addition to the transactional rates that are currently being supported; Average Rate (AVG) and End of Month Rate (EOM).
• The two additional exchange rates can be viewed by navigating to Menu > Setup > Billing > Manage Currencies > View Currency.

• Average Rate (AVG) - Average exchange rate within a given financial period. 
• End of Month Rate (EOM) - Exchange rate on the last day of a given financial period. 
• In addition to the new consolidated exchange rates, you will now have the option to select the exchange rate precision (decimals) at which you’d like non-base currency to be stored for exchange rates when the Market Rate option has been selected. 

Multi-currency: Revenue Schedule Currency Conversion

• For Finance users, a new setting has been added that allows you to select how revenue schedules should be converted into your base currency. You will have the option to select Subscription/Order Rate or Average Rate. 

Auto-update Revenue Schedules w/ Manual Billing Schedule Edits

• Automatically update revenue schedules when a manual edit has been made to a corresponding billing schedule
• This setting will be enabled by default, but can be disabled in the Subscription Settings section of the General Settings page.
  • When manually editing a billing schedule line, the change effective date for the revenue schedule updates will be equal to the charge ready date of the first un-invoiced billing schedule line. A modal will appear upon saving the edit to confirm proceeding with the change.

Tools & Logs

• Navigate to Menu > Operations > Logs.

  • All logs have been updated to include a timestamp that matches that of the user.

Improvements to Custom Reports

• Added several fields and updated field names to better align with the API.

Upcoming Infrastructure Updates

Ordway is making some platform infrastructure improvements to customer environments. 

What is Changing?

In our continued efforts to improve platform performance, Ordway is making some infrastructure updates & hardware enhancements. We do not anticipate any changes in the Ordway experience for customers. 

When are the improvements being made? 

These changes will take place July 17th, 2021 between 2:00am and 6:00am EST to the Production environment. 

Why the change? 

These infrastructure & hardware updates are necessary to continue providing a robust and streamlined platform.
