You can manage dashboards from Analytics → Dashboards, including setting a dashboard as your homepage and switching between dashboards. Admins can also assign a homepage to one or more user roles.
Access Dashboard Actions
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the dashboard row.
- Select the required action.
Available actions include:

| View | Opens the selected dashboard |
| Edit | Opens the dashboard builder to modify widgets or layout |
| Clone | Creates a duplicate of the dashboard |
| Set as Homepage | Sets the selected dashboard as your personal homepage. The selected dashboard is displayed automatically when you sign in. |
| Remove as Homepage | Removes the selected dashboard as your personal homepage. If no homepage is configured, the default Analytics dashboard is displayed when you sign in. |
| Rename | Allows you to change the dashboard name |
| Make Public | Changes dashboard visibility to Public |
| Share | Allows you to share the dashboard with other users |
| Delete | Permanently removes the dashboard |
Note: If a dashboard is public and created by another user, only View and Clone options are available.
View Dashboard
You can open and view the dashboard and its charts.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to view in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select View.
Result
The dashboard opens and displays all its charts and metrics.
Edit Dashboard
Allows you to modify dashboard layout, filters, and settings.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to edit in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Edit.
Result
The dashboard opens in edit mode, where users can:
- Add or modify charts
- Adjust layout
- Apply filters
- Update settings
Click Save to apply the changes.
Clone Dashboard
You can clone an existing dashboard to quickly create a new dashboard with the same charts and configuration. The Clone option creates a duplicate copy of the dashboard
The cloned dashboard includes:
- All widgets
- Layout configuration
- Visualization settings
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to clone in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Clone from the available options. The Copy Dashboard dialog box is displayed.
- Enter a new name for the cloned dashboard in the Name box.
- Click SAVE.
Result
- A new dashboard is created with the same charts and layout as the original dashboard.
- The cloned dashboard appears in the Dashboards list and can be edited independently.
Example
- Original dashboard: Yearly report
- Cloned dashboard name: Revenue Performance Dashboard
Tip: Cloning a dashboard is useful when you want to create variations of an existing dashboard without rebuilding charts from scratch.
Set Dashboard as Homepage
You can set any dashboard that you have access to as your personal homepage. The selected dashboard is displayed automatically when you sign in to Ordway. After the homepage is configured, the selected dashboard opens automatically when you sign in to Ordway.
You can have only one personal homepage at a time. If you set a different dashboard as your homepage, the new dashboard replaces your current homepage.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard that you want to set as your homepage.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Set as Homepage.
- In the Replace Home Page confirmation dialog, click CONFIRM.
Result
The selected dashboard is configured as your personal homepage. A success notification is displayed, and the Set as Homepage action changes to Remove as Homepage.
The selected dashboard is displayed automatically the next time you sign in.
Switch Dashboard
Once a homepage is configured, you can use the Switch Dashboard dropdown in the homepage header to quickly move between dashboards.
The dropdown includes:
- Ordway Dashboard
- Other dashboards you have access to
This lets you switch dashboards without returning to the Dashboards list.
Remove Dashboard as Homepage
You can remove a dashboard that has been configured as your personal homepage.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics > Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard that is currently set as your homepage.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Remove as Homepage.
Result
The dashboard is removed as your personal homepage. If no other homepage is configured, the default Analytics dashboard is displayed the next time you sign in. A success notification confirms that the homepage has been removed.
Role-Level Homepage
Admins can assign a dashboard as the homepage for one or more user roles. This provides a default homepage for users in those roles who have not set a personal homepage.
A personal homepage always takes priority over a role-level homepage.
Homepage Priority

Each role can have its own homepage independently.
Set a Role-Level Homepage
- Open the Set as Homepage. The Set as Homepage dialog box is displayed.
- Under Set for roles, select one or more roles.
- Click Confirm. The Homepage settings updated confirmation message appears.
If a selected role already has a homepage assigned, a warning appears before the existing homepage is replaced.
Result: The selected dashboard becomes the homepage for the selected roles. Users in those roles who do not have a personal homepage see the role-level homepage the next time they sign in.
Managing Role-Level Homepages (Admin)
Admins can view and remove role-level homepage assignments.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on any dashboard row and select Manage Role Homepages.
- The dialog box listing each role and the dashboard currently assigned as its homepage.
- Click Remove next to a role to clear its assignment.
Alternatively, you can remove an assignment from the Set as Homepage window: uncheck a role that already has this dashboard assigned, then click Confirm.
Result: Once a role-level homepage is removed, users in that role without a personal homepage will see the default Analytics dashboard on their next login. Affected users don't receive a notification.
From the Set as Homepage
- Open the Set as Homepage dialog box.
- Unselect a role that is currently assigned to the dashboard.
- Click Confirm.
Result: The role-level homepage assignment is removed. Users in that role who do not have a personal homepage return to the default Analytics screen the next time they sign in.
Rename Dashboard
You can change the name or description of a dashboard.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to rename in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Rename. The Rename Dashboard dialog box is displayed.
- Enter the new Dashboard Name in the box.
- Update the description if required.
- Click Save.
Result
The dashboard name is updated in the dashboard list.
Make Dashboard Public
Makes the dashboard accessible to all users in the organization.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to make public in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Make Public. A confirmation dialog appears.
- Click Confirm.
Result
The dashboard becomes publicly visible and editable to users in the organization.
Share Dashboard
You can share the dashboard with specific users.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to share in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Share.
- Select the users you want to share the dashboard with from the Users list.
- Click SAVE.
Result
Selected users will gain access to the dashboard.
Visibility
The Visibility column indicates who can access the dashboard.
Possible values include:

| Public | Dashboard is accessible to other users with permissions |
| Private | Dashboard is visible only to the creator |
Delete Dashboard
Permanently removes a dashboard.
Steps
- In the left navigation menu, click Analytics → Dashboards. The Dashboards page is displayed.
- Locate the dashboard you want to delete in the Dashboards list.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of the dashboard row.
- Select Delete. A confirmation dialog appears.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Result
The dashboard is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
