Overview
Dashboards provide a centralized view of business metrics by displaying report visualizations as widgets. You can create dashboards, add report visualizations, and customize the layout to monitor the data most relevant to your organization.
You can create dashboards to monitor specific metrics.
The Add Visualization to Dashboard page allows users to select reports or visualizations and add them as widgets.
Create a Dashboard
Steps
- Click ADD to Create a New Dashboard. The Create Dashboard dialog box is displayed.
- Enter a Dashboard name and Description in the respective boxes.
When a new dashboard is created, it is set to Private by default. Private dashboards are visible only to the user who created them.

To make the dashboard available to other users, change its visibility to Public after creating the dashboard.
Note: Only dashboards with Public visibility are displayed to other users.
- Click CREATE to create a dashboard layout. The Add Visualization to Dashboard dialog box is displayed.
Add Visualizations
The Add Visualization to Dashboard page allows you to browse, search, and select report visualizations to add as dashboard widgets.
This page acts as a visualization library where users can browse available analytics reports. You can search, filter, and select visualizations before adding them to the dashboard canvas.
About Visualizations
Visualizations provide a graphical representation of report data and can be added to dashboards as widgets for quick access to key business metrics.
Each visualization is based on an existing report and displays report data in a graphical format. After a visualization is added to a dashboard, it can be resized and repositioned within the dashboard layout.
Note: The visualizations available for selection depend on the reports you have permission to access. Refer to Manage Report Options article
Search Visualizations
The Search visualizations field allows users to quickly locate a report or visualization.
Steps
- Enter a keyword in the search field.
- Matching visualizations appear in the results grid.
- Example: revenue
This helps you to find specific analytics reports quickly.
Visualization Categories
Visualizations are organized into categories.
| Category | Description |
| All | Displays all available visualizations |
| All Custom Reports | Shows all custom-created reports |
| My Reports | Displays reports created by the current user |
| Shared With Me | Shows reports shared by other users |
| Account Balance | Displays reports related to account balances |
| Aging | Displays accounts receivable aging reports |
| ARR & MRR | Shows analytics related to recurring revenue |
| Invoice & Payments | Displays invoice and payment analytics |
Selecting a category filters the visualizations shown.
Visualization Types
Depending on the selected report, the following visualization types may be available:
- Line Chart
- Bar Chart
- Area Chart
- Pie Chart
Note: The available visualization types depend on the report configuration and supported data.
Visualization Cards
Each visualization appears as a card in the results grid.
A visualization card typically includes:
- Visualization name
- Short description
- Preview icon
- Selection checkbox
Select Visualizations
You can select visualizations to add to the dashboard.
Steps
- Click the checkbox on the visualization card.
- Select one or multiple visualizations.
- Click ADD TO DASHBOARD.
The selected visualizations will be added as widgets to the dashboard layout.
Add to Dashboard
The Add to Dashboard button appears at the bottom of the page. It adds the selected visualizations to the dashboard.
Once added:
- Each visualization appears as a widget.
- Widgets can be resized or repositioned in the dashboard editor.
Default Period Filter
All newly created dashboards include a Period filter that is displayed at the top of the dashboard. The Period filter allows users to filter supported dashboard widgets by a selected reporting period.
By default, the Period filter is set to This Year.
Change the Default Period
- Create a new or edit a dashboard.
- Click the Period filter displayed at the top of the dashboard.
- Select the required reporting period.
- The dashboard refreshes and updates all supported widgets based on the selected period.
Result
The selected reporting period is applied to all supported visualizations in the dashboard.
