When editing a dashboard, the toolbar at the top of the page provides options to manage filters, layout settings, and widget arrangement.

Dashboard Filters
The Filters option allows you to refine the data displayed in dashboard tiles.
Accessing Filters
To open the filter options:
- Navigate to the dashboard page.
- Click Filters in the dashboard toolbar.
The Filters menu appears with configuration options.
Filter Options
The Filters menu provides the following options:
| Option | Description |
| Add Filter | Creates a new filter for dashboard data |
| Cross-filtering | Enables filtering interactions between dashboard widgets |
| Apply filter edits to alerts | Applies filter changes to dashboard alerts |
Add Filter
This option allows users to define filter criteria. In this example, the filter is configured for Country.
Steps
- Click Filters → Add Filter. The Add Filter dialog box is displayed.
- Choose the filter field
- Select the attribute from the results.
- Configure filter values.
- Click Add.
The filter is applied to the dashboard widgets.
Cross-filtering
Cross-filtering enables interaction between dashboard widgets.
When enabled:
- Selecting a value in one chart filters other charts automatically.
Example: Selecting a Customer Segment in one chart updates other charts to display only related data.
Apply Filter Edits to Alerts
This option controls whether dashboard filter changes affect alerts configured on the dashboard.
When enabled
- Alert conditions update based on the applied filters.
Example: If a filter is applied for Region = North America, alerts will trigger only for data related to that region.
Dashboard Settings
The Settings option allows you to configure dashboard behavior.
The settings page contains two tabs:
- General
- Filters
General Settings
General settings control how the dashboard loads and refreshes.
General Setting Actions

| Run on load | Automatically loads dashboard data when the page opens |
| Allow full screen mode for visualizations | Allows widgets to open in full-screen view |
| Automatically refresh dashboard | Enables automatic dashboard updates |
Refresh Frequency
You can configure refresh behavior for each tile.
Available options include:
- Does not refresh
- Refresh every (time interval)
This ensures that widgets display updated data at regular intervals.
Filter Settings
The Filters tab controls how filters appear on the dashboard.
Default Filters View
This option determines whether filters are visible when the dashboard loads.

| Expanded | Filter bar is visible on page load |
| Collapsed | Filter bar is hidden but can be opened |
Filters Location
This setting determines where filters appear on the dashboard.
| Location | Description |
| Top | Filters appear above dashboard tiles |
| Right | Filters appear in a sidebar on the right |
This allows dashboards to be customized for different layouts.
Quick Layout
The Quick Layout option controls the number of tiles displayed per row.
Available layout options include:

| XS | 6 tiles across |
| S | 4 tiles across |
| M | 3 tiles across |
| L | 2 tiles across |
| XL | 1 tile across |
This option helps users quickly adjust the dashboard layout depending on the number and size of widgets.
Save and Cancel
After making changes to the dashboard:
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- Click Cancel to discard the changes.
If changes are not saved, the dashboard will revert to its previous configuration.
