Feature Enhancements

Access to Classic Reports

Access to Classic Reports is being extended. 

New Experience

Reskinned Page

Menu > Setup > Taxes has been reskinned for the New Experience. Taxes can also be imported and exported from the More menu. 

New Analytics Platform

Report Sharing

Within New Analytics users can now share private reports with one or more users within their organization. Shared reports can be viewed, downloaded, and scheduled.

Shared reports cannot be edited, but they can be cloned for other users to modify as needed. Read more about report sharing.

Finance

Debit Memos

Ordway now supports a new transaction type to help manage customer account balances with the introduction of Debit Memos. A debit memo is a transaction or document that records an adjustment to a customer’s account receivable balance that can be used as an alternative to an invoice.

Similar to an invoice, both payments and credits can be applied to a debit memo to clear a customer’s outstanding balance.

Note: This feature is currently in beta and only available upon request.

Platform

Environment Refresh Pilot

This new feature allows for the data copy from a Production instance to the Sandbox instance. The feature performs a full copy of data (with certain exceptions) and creates a new company/instance. Read more about Environment Refresh.

Subscription Validation

When creating a Subscription without the required date fields, an appropriate error is displayed notifying the user which dates are required:

• Contract Effective Date
• Service Start Date
• Billing Start Date

Commerce

Enhanced Editing Options

Edit (pencil) and delete (trash can) icons have been added to improve editing capabilities for the following: 

• Edit Plans / Charges Table
• Edit or Change Subscription / Subscription Charges Table
• Change Quote / Quote Charges Table

Customer Portal 

Credits

A Credits section has been added to the Customer Portal with the following options:

• Filter, sort, and export Credits
• Hide or show columns based on user preference

Customize View

The Customer Portal can be customized to show or hide specific tabs via Menu > Setup > Customer Portal. 

Payment Methods

Payment Method Disabled Message

A proper UI message now displays when attempting to add a payment method and electronic Payment Methods has been disabled. 

Use Last Payment Method

A new setting is available within Menu > Setup > General Settings called Use First Payment Method (Default Not present). When this setting is enabled by an Admin role, Ordway will automatically charge the most recently added Payment Method when a default Payment Method has not been indicated. This setting is disabled by default.

API Updates

Ordway is currently reviewing our API documentation and making improvements. 

• All API Call descriptions have been updated with additional information. 
• API call fields are currently being updated as well.
• API Implementation Guide in process. 

Send Mail API 

A new Send Mail API call has been added that triggers an email with an attachment. Accepted formats include .xlsx, .pdf, and .csv.

Notes:

• Recipient cannot be blank.
• Using the example of sending an Invoice PDF, the corresponding template available via Menu > Setup > Manage Templates must have the Attach PDF flag enabled in order to send the attachment via API.

Updated
