Why do I get an invalid OTP error when I enter the correct code?
You might see an invalid OTP error during multi-factor authentication (MFA) even when you enter the correct code. This can happen when the date and time on your mobile device are out of sync. The device's local date and time settings determine whether an OTP is valid, not Ordway. If the device time is incorrect, the authentication code can be rejected.
How to resolve the issue
- On your mobile device, check that the date and time are correct. Use the Set Automatically option if your device offers it.
- Restart your mobile device.
- Generate a new OTP and try the verification again.
Result
With the device time set correctly, the new OTP should be accepted, and you can complete MFA verification.
