A reserve is an amount retained from a payout as a buffer to help cover potential refunds and chargebacks.
How the Reserve Works
During payout calculation, the required reserve amount is held back, and only funds above the reserve requirement are included in the payout.
In the Transaction Summary:
- Reserve Held indicates funds retained as part of the reserve.
- Reserve Paid indicates reserve funds that have been released back and included in a payout.
Why the Reserve May Have a Different Date
The date displayed for a reserve transaction may differ from the payout from which the funds were originally withheld, depending on when the reserve transaction was recorded or reflected in the system.
When Is the Reserve Released?
Reserve funds are held separately and may be released back in a future payout. When released, the amount will appear as Reserve Paid in the Transaction Summary.
