For example:

• If Usage 1 = 32 and Usage 2 = -30, the cumulative usage is 2. The charge is calculated for a quantity of 2 based on the configured tiered pricing.
• If Usage 1 = -32 and Usage 2 = 30, the cumulative usage is -2. Since the cumulative quantity is negative, no charge is calculated on the billing schedule or reflected on the invoice.

Conclusion

A negative cumulative usage quantity does not generate a negative invoice amount. Only a positive cumulative quantity is used to calculate the applicable usage charge.
